1·But when ye sin so against the brethren, and wound their weak conscience, ye sin against Christ.
2·Now concerning spiritual [gifts], brethren, I would not have you ignorant.
3·Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
4·What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works?
5·For we do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, of our trouble which came to us in Asia: that we were burdened beyond measure, above strength, so that we despaired even of life.
