1·He was surprised when the king told Haman to do all those good things to Mordecai the Jew.
当国王告诉他把他说的所有东西都赏赐给犹太人末底改时，哈曼很震惊。
2·The ten sons of Haman the son of Hammedatha, the enemy of the Jews, slew they; but on the spoil laid they not their hand.
这十人都是哈米大他的孙子，犹大人仇敌哈曼的儿子。 犹大人却没有下手夺取财物。
3·Haman came in and the king asked Haman if he could think a reward for someone who the king wanted to honour.
这时哈曼来了，于是国王问他要如何赏赐一个自己想要赐赏的人。
4·And the king and Haman sat down to drink; but the city Shushan was perplexed.
王同哈曼坐下饮酒，书珊城的民却都慌乱。
5·And Mordecai came again to the king's gate. But Haman hasted to his house mourning, and having his head covered.
末底改仍回到朝门，哈曼却忧忧闷闷地蒙着头，急忙回家去了。
