1·Hezekiah had enjoyed a close fellowship with God, but at a crucial point in his life God left him alone to test his character, to reveal a weakness, and to prepare him for more responsibility.
希西家曾经享受与神亲密相交的喜乐,但在他生命中的重要时刻,神却叫他孤立无助,以此考验他的品格,显露他的弱点,为的是要预备他能担当更多的责任。
2·So the Lord saved Hezekiah and the people of Jerusalem from the hand of Sennacherib king of Assyria and from the hand of all others. He took care of them on every side.
这样,耶和华救希西家和耶路撒冷的居民脱离亚述王西拿基立的手,也脱离一切仇敌的手,又赐他们四境平安。
3·Go, and say to Hezekiah, Thus saith the LORD, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will add unto thy days fifteen years.
你去告诉希西家说,耶和华你祖大卫的神如此说,我听见了你的祷告,看见了你的眼泪,我必加增你十五年的寿数。
4·Hezekiah trusted in the Lord, the God of Israel. There was no one like him among all the Kings of Judah, either before him or after him.
希西家倚靠耶和华以色列的神,在他前后的犹大列王中没有一个及他的。
5·Hezekiah gave orders to prepare storerooms in the temple of the Lord , and this was done.
希西家吩咐在耶和华殿里预备仓房,他们就预备了。
