1·Then said Hushai unto Zadok and to Abiathar the priests, Thus and thus did Ahithophel counsel Absalom and the elders of Israel; and thus and thus have I counselled.
户筛对祭司撒督和亚比亚他说，亚希多弗为押沙龙和以色列的长老所定的计谋是如此如此，我所定的计谋是如此如此。
2·So Israel and Absalom pitched in the land of Gilead.
押沙龙和以色列人都安营在基列地。
3·Then said Absalom, If not, I pray thee, let my brother Amnon go with us.
押沙龙说，王若不去，求王许我哥哥暗嫩同去。
4·And it came to pass, while they were in the way, that tidings came to David, saying, Absalom hath slain all the king's sons, and there is not one of them left.
他们还在路上，有风声传到大卫那里，说，押沙龙将王的众子都杀了，没有留下一个。
5·Nevertheless a lad saw them, and told Absalom: but they went both of them away quickly, and came to a man's house in Bahurim, which had a well in his court; whither they went down.
然而有一个童子看见他们，就去告诉押沙龙。他们急忙跑到巴户琳某人的家里。
